Transmission

Transmission of Trichomoniasis is through anal sex or vaginal sex. The infection can also be passed on through 2 vaginae. The parasite travels through one genital to the other genital, hence infecting the other person.

The most commonly affected area in women is the vulva, vagina or urethra. In men, it's the urethra.

In some severe cases of 'Trich', the hands, mouth and anus may be affected for both genders.

Transmission of this parasite can be prevented by:

  • Always using condoms
