It can be cured with one single dose of prescription pill medicine (i.e. metronidazole or tinidazole). Medicine such as Flagyl or Tinactin are some popular brands. Using vagina cream will not properly cure of this infection (even if they reduce the discomfort and swelling), a pill is the only sure-way to completely get rid of the parasite. People infected with HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus) also receive the same treatment. If not treated properly, Trichomoniasis can last for many years. |
